The Pitbull Tackle Pier Ring is one of the most common and easiest methods to catch crab from both shore and from a boat. This throawable ring is light enough to easily transport and comes fully rigged with 100ft of rope and a float so you can fish this right out of the package. Simply add bait inside the smaller bottom ring and place the ring in the water. When the trap is lifted the smaller inner ring will hang down from the large 32" outer ring creating a basket that the crab cannot get out of.
