The Pitbull Tackle Crab Trap Harness was created to hold up in harsh ocean conditions. This harness is designed to be attached to the very popular collapsible crab traps in each corner to evenly lift the trap off the bottom when it is time to check your catch. Each harness is built with premium stainless steel components and load tested to 700lbs. We opted for using hand-tied knots to attach the rope instead of flimsy crimps to secure your trap and give you the peace of mind that your trap won't be lost at the bottom of the ocean. For even more added protection we utilized heat-shrink material around each knot to keep the rope protected from the surrounding environment. This harness can be used on any crab trap of your choosing. Pair this Harness with a Pitbull Crab Trap, spool of Weighted Crab Rope, and a pair of Floats for an easily set up crab fishing rig.

Disappointed
Decided to save time and get these instead of building my own. While replacing the old harnesses I noticed a gap in one of the rings. I was able to pull the ring open with my hands. No way this is as strong as claimed and definitely not acceptable. The metal parts do not appear to be stainless. Not positive but a magnet definitely grabs them and the appearance doesn’t seem to be stainless. If they are not I won’t even be able to use the clips so I paid 70 bucks for a small amount of rope and will end up spending more time and way more money than if I would have just bought good parts and did it myself. I had high hopes and I’m definitely disappointed.
