This component is comprised of a brass ball bearing swivel with two welded rings extending out of each side and a coastlock snap extending out the other. SS snap swivels
These are the best snap swivels I have found. We haven't had any issues and the size seems smaller for the weight rating. I use all sizes and keep a stock in shop and on boat. I would like to be able to order in bulk and not have all the retail packaging.
